Questions
Are my texts uploaded anywhere?
No. Both texts are compared inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
How are the changes shown?
Removed text is crossed out and marked with a minus sign, and added text is marked with a plus sign, so you can tell them apart without relying on colour.
What is the difference between Words and Lines?
Words shows exactly which words changed inside each line. Lines marks whole lines that changed, which suits lists and code.
Can I compare long documents?
Yes. Texts over 1 MB are compared in the background, so the page stays responsive while you wait.
