Is my JSON sent anywhere?
No. It is checked and formatted inside your browser, so API keys and private data never leave your device.
What does the error message tell me?
It names what was unexpected and gives the line and column, for example a comma after the last item in a list.
Does formatting change my numbers?
No. Your text is reformatted as written, so long numbers keep every digit.
Can it handle large files?
Yes. JSON over 1 MB is formatted in the background when you press Format JSON, so typing stays smooth.
Are comments allowed?
No. Standard JSON does not allow comments, so they are reported as an error.
